Atlas stones offer unique physical challenges – no handles, smooth surface, low to the ground, and heavy. Probably the most difficult lifting you’ll ever do, stones represent 80 percent of the things you’re likely to find outside the gym that you’re going to have to pick up. Teaching a person to pull such awkward loads from the ground safely and effectively is one strategy we employ to build strong backs.
